HVAC & Plumbing Services in Freehold, NJ
Perfect Air & Water Services offers full HVAC and plumbing services in Freehold, NJ, where both the Borough and the Township pull their water from local wells. Those wells tap the Englishtown and Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifers, and the groundwater that comes up runs hard, carrying calcium and magnesium plus enough iron and manganese from the deeper formation that the town treats for it before the water ever reaches your house. We size and service water heaters, softeners, and HVAC equipment around that reality. Family-owned, licensed and insured under NJ HVAC Lic #19HC00140400, with crews reachable 24/7 at 888-578-2776.

I recently replaced my full AC/furnace system and i am very happy with it. I initially spoke with Alex (sales manager) and he was thorough in explaining my options and costs. After deciding to move forward, the online financial transaction was easy, and Alex walked me through it. I was able to make an appointment to have the work done very quickly. Texts were sent to confirm the appointment, inform me who would be coming to do the work and at what time. The guys arrived exactly on time and worked most of the day. The final product looks and works great! The guys are professional and experienced. I highly recommend calling PAWS if you need a system!
These guys do outstanding work for very competitive prices. Alex was great to work with and helped me choose the correct mini split sizes for my house and the install crew was super professional and experienced, they had the entire three zone system installed in one day. Highly recommend!
Recently signed up with Perfect Air and had my first maintenance check-up fir spring summer. Unfortunately as it was a cold day, the visit could not check the refrigerant level and that has to be done on another day. However the price for their special was well worth it. Also I was fortunate to have the installation supervisor Nazar do my check-up so he spent a fair amount of time taking pictures and checking out the system very thoroughly. He gave some good advice. My recommendation to others is when the technician leaves and it's a cold day, remember to put your heat back on.
It’s our first winter in our new home and suddenly the super old furnace broke in the middle of the night during the coldest winter! I called around for a few quotes and these guys were very responsive, took their time to inspect the whole home, and extremely reasonably priced in comparison. I was nervous being this is my first big home Reno as a new homeowner but Alex was truly incredible. He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns! We went with an high efficiency furnace and also decided to install an AC condenser at the same time since we already had ductwork and I’m so happy we did! (it was on our list of upgrades.) Nadar, all of the HVAC guys and their electrician Leo were very kind, clean, and respectful. They laid down floor protection and even wore shoe coverings! Their work was very well done and our new system looks so good!! They showed me how to change my filters in the future and helped muffle my loud old duct system. Truly very impressed with their professionalism and happy we went with PAWS! Thank you!! 🩷
Very Professional and staff. Full Heating Cooling system instilled in timely manner. very satisfied with Perfect Air and Water services.
They were very professional, nice and very clean. Highly recommend!!
I woke up to a leaking water heater and PAWS saved the day. They popped up on my Instagram feed a while back and I saved their contact info which came in handy today. Called and was connected with Alex who gave me a consultation and a quote instantly, the pricing was fair and reasonable so we moved forward. Alex dispatched his team and Bogdan + Wesley arrived within an hour or so. They were great guys, very courteous and friendly, and they worked diligently until the job was done. The new plumbing looks like a work of art, these guys are really masters of their craft. Bogdan and Wesley explained everything to me and tested the system thoroughly before leaving. I'm a happy customer and would highly recommend PAWS!
Alex the sales manager was a pleasure to work with. He worked with me and gave me the best price. They removed and installed my Hot water tank, furnace, and HVAC. I Never had a job done so quickly, efficiently and clean. They came early worked all day to complete the job and did a phenomenal job. The service was exceptional. Nazar came back the next day and checked everything made sure everything was working. All the workers were great. I highly recommend PAWS for all your heat/air needs. A highly satisfied customer.
Very professional and thorough. The staff are incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. They are installing an entire system so we can convert to natural gas. They have kept me very well informed on the process and timing and answered all of my questions promptly. They have been incredibly efficient and have done a great job cleaning up when the work day is done. I am especially happy with the extra effort put in by the plumber Nick, who has gone above and beyond. I recommend them highly.
Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, Built for Freehold
The right upkeep depends on local conditions. We tune heating, cooling, and plumbing service to how Freehold homes are built and the water they run on.
Cooling Service for Freehold's Subdivision Homes
A lot of Freehold's central air sits in single-family homes built from the 1960s through the early 2000s, across Stonehurst, Poets Corner, and the Township's spread-out subdivisions. Systems from that era are often past their efficient years. On a humid July afternoon they short-cycle or just can't keep up. We handle AC repair, tune-ups, and right-sized replacements so your house off Route 9 or Route 33 stays even and dry instead of clammy.
Air Conditioner Repair
We track down weak airflow, test system pressures, and replace a failing blower motor so the house cools evenly again.
Air Conditioner Maintenance
A seasonal tune-up clears the outdoor cabinet, checks the electrical relays and refrigerant charge, and confirms the filter is sized for your home.
Air Conditioner Installation
We size the cooling load for your specific home, run new copper line sets, and set the condenser on a level pad for steady performance.
Air Conditioner Replacement
When a system is past saving, we recover the old refrigerant, pull the worn equipment, and install a right-sized, high-efficiency unit.
Condenser Cleaning
We apply a commercial coil cleaner and rinse the fins to clear the buildup that quietly chokes airflow and drives up your electric bill.
Furnace and Boiler Work for Freehold's NJ Winters
Central Jersey winters lean cold, and the older furnaces and boilers tucked into Freehold's post-war housing tend to act up right when you lean on them hardest. Hard-water scale builds up inside aging boilers and indirect tanks, and that quietly drags efficiency down year after year. We service, repair, and replace heating systems for the denser Borough core and for the detached homes out toward West Freehold.
Furnace Repair
Technicians clear restricted airflow, clean a fouled flame sensor, and swap a strained blower motor to restore steady, even heat.
Furnace Installation
Installers run new gas piping, fabricate custom sheet-metal transitions, and set up venting that exhausts safely and cleanly.
Furnace Maintenance
A yearly service covers a fresh filter, a cleaned burner assembly, and a combustion check that flags any gas-safety issue before winter.
Boiler Installation
We fit new hydronic systems with corrosion-resistant fittings and balance the loop for even heat across every zone.
Boiler Repair
Pros clear internal scale, replace corroded relief valves, and purge trapped air from the baseboards.
Boiler Replacement
We flush the old water, remove the failed tank, and pipe in a high-efficiency model built to last.
Why Heat Pumps Fit Freehold's Inland Climate
Freehold sits inland on the Inner Coastal Plain, so its shoulder seasons run milder than the shore and its winters get cold without often turning brutal. That climate makes a modern heat pump a strong swap for an older subdivision home still running a dated AC-and-furnace pair. We spec cold-climate units and ductless mini-splits that heat and cool from one system, and we run the load math so the thing actually performs in February.
Heat Pump Installation
Technicians set the indoor air handler, run insulated refrigerant lines, and position the outdoor condenser for efficient airflow.
Heat Pump Repair
Specialists diagnose restricted airflow, test the reversing valve, and replace overworked fan motors so the system heats and cools on demand.
Heat Pump Maintenance
We clean debris off the outdoor fan blades, check the electrical draw, and wash the coils so the unit holds capacity through the season.
Hard-Water Plumbing Repairs Freehold Homeowners Need
The calcium and magnesium in Freehold's well-sourced water leave scale in valves, fixtures, and supply lines, and the iron the town pulls from the PRM aquifer can stain sinks and tubs if treatment slips. Left alone, that buildup clogs aerators and shortens the life of everything the water touches. We handle repairs, fixture swaps, and whole-house filtration or softener installs to slow the mineral damage down.
Residential Plumbing
Plumbers fix leaks and running fixtures, replace worn shut-off valves, and install whole-house filtration where the water calls for it.
Commercial Plumbing
We clear scaled lines, restore fouled water heaters, and put proper filtration in place so a facility avoids downtime.
Plumbing Repair
Specialists replace failing supply lines, run durable PEX, and pressure-test every new connection.
Water Heater Installation
Technicians set the new tank, add the right sediment protection, and fit the correct anode to get the full service life out of it.
Indoor Air Quality for Freehold's Humid Summers
Summer humidity settles into Freehold's older homes, and the tight sealing that keeps winter heat in also traps dust and dries the air out. Hard-water minerals can foul humidifier pads and condensate lines too, if nobody checks them. We install and service whole-home humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and filtration so the air in your Freehold home stays comfortable across the seasons.
Indoor Air Quality
Technicians evaluate conditions inside the home, inspect the ductwork, and recommend upgrades aimed at the allergens your household deals with most.
Air Filtration
Installers add a media cabinet to your system and fit it with a high-MERV filter that captures fine particulates.
Ventilation
We mount fresh-air intakes and balance the exhaust fans to bring in clean air without letting outdoor odors settle inside.
Humidifier & Dehumidifier
Crews integrate whole-home humidity control into the system and route the drainage so comfort holds steady through the seasons.
Climate Solutions
Specialists set up distinct temperature zones, program smart thermostats, and tune the dampers to hold an even temperature across the house.

Common Questions
HVAC & Plumbing FAQs for Freehold Homeowners
Do you serve both Freehold Borough and Freehold Township?
Yes, we cover both, plus West Freehold and the surrounding subdivisions like Stonehurst, Poets Corner, and Seven Oaks. We're out along the Route 9, Route 33, and Route 18 corridors regularly, so getting to your place in the Freehold area is rarely a problem. Call 888-578-2776 and we'll set a time.
Why does my Freehold water heater seem to wear out faster than expected?
Freehold's water comes from local wells in the Englishtown and Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifers, and it's naturally hard. Calcium and magnesium settle as scale at the bottom of tanks and inside tankless heat exchangers, which cuts efficiency and shortens the heater's life. Flushing the tank once a year helps. A whole-house softener does more, protecting the heater along with every fixture downstream.
When should I schedule HVAC maintenance in Freehold?
Book the AC tune-up in spring before the humid summer sets in, and the furnace or boiler check in early fall ahead of the cold. Freehold's older subdivision systems get the most out of that twice-a-year rhythm, since small problems get caught before a heat wave or a cold snap turns them into a no-heat night. We're available 24/7 at 888-578-2776 if something quits between visits.
Should I get a water softener or whole-house filtration in Freehold?
For most Freehold homes it's worth a look. A softener handles the calcium and magnesium scale that clogs fixtures and shortens water-heater life, while filtration helps with any iron staining that shows up when treatment slips. We can test what's coming out of your tap and recommend the right setup, with financing available if you need it.
